Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles by performing accurate diagnostics on mechanical and electrical issues, conducting routine maintenance services such as oil changes and brake inspections, and utilizing diagnostic tools to ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards. Test drive vehicles to verify repair success, maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used, and collaborate with Service Advisors and other technicians to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction. Occasionally communicate directly with customers to explain repairs and maintenance needs. This role requires proficiency with diagnostic tools, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
- Applicable certifications and technical trainings
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and technical manuals
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy parts and standing for extended periods
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
