Chess Instructor | Fall

Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students using a structured curriculum to teach chess fundamentals, promote good sportsmanship, and connect problem-solving to real-life scenarios. Classes are scheduled on weekday afternoons (Mon-Fri 12pm-6pm), typically 1 hour 30 minutes, with 1–5 classes per week at local schools in Pleasanton, CA. Travel to various local school sites is required; mileage reimbursement provided for trips over 15 miles one-way. Maintain classroom safety, arrive prepared, and foster a positive, engaging learning environment that supports student growth in chess and critical thinking. Applicants should have prior experience with groups of children, the ability to lead a class independently, a positive, kid-friendly demeanor, reliable personal transportation, and availability to teach within the specified window.
