Job Summary
Conduct Chess instruction for students in grades K-5 from 3:10 PM to 4:10 PM on Wednesdays between August 19 and January 6. Prepare daily by reviewing lesson plans and materials, then deliver standard-aligned instruction that cultivates critical thinking and problem-solving. Manage all supplied instructional resources while maintaining compliance with site expectations and engaging in professional communication with Program Success Manager and site personnel. Participate in family engagement efforts such as welcome letters and showcases to empower student access to programs.
Required Qualifications
- AA Degree (or higher)
- Must commit to the full proposed schedule
- Reliable transportation
- Willing to complete mandatory training
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years teaching/instructing (preferred)
- Experience working with children
- Educational (development or training) experience
- Teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS!
