Job Summary
Deliver high-quality, in-person chess instruction to students in grades K-2nd, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills through standard-aligned, engaging lessons. Prepare by reviewing provided lesson plans and materials prior to each session, then manage all supplied instructional resources while maintaining compliance with site expectations. Engage in professional communication with Program Success Manager and site personnel, participate in family engagement efforts, and administer accommodations as relevant. Commit to the full proposed schedule of Wednesdays from 3:45 to 4:45 PM across multiple months, with compensation at $60 per hour of class.
Required Qualifications
- AA Degree (or higher)
- Must commit to the full proposed schedule
- Reliable transportation
- Willing to complete mandatory training
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years teaching/instructing (preferred)
- Experience working with children
- Educational (development or training) experience
- Teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS!
