Job Summary
Deliver high-quality, in-person Chess instruction to PreK-12 students, preparing daily by reviewing lesson plans and materials to ensure consistency and compliance. Engage students in meaningful, standard-aligned activities that cultivate critical thinking and problem-solving skills while managing all supplied instructional resources. Maintain professional communication with Program Success Managers and site personnel, participate in family engagement efforts, and administer accommodations as needed. Report to a Program Success Manager and commit to the full proposed schedule at the Bakersfield, CA site, with classes running between 2:00 and 5:00 PM in 60-minute blocks.
Required Qualifications
- AA Degree (or higher)
- Must commit to the full proposed schedule
- Reliable transportation
- Willing to complete mandatory training
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years teaching/instructing (preferred)
- Experience working with children
- Educational (development or training) experience
- Teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS!
