Job Summary
Conduct specimen collection, processing, and testing for patients across the age spectrum while verifying lab orders and entering data into the Laboratory Information System. Perform routine and special laboratory tests, call critical results to healthcare providers, and maintain clinical instrumentation through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration. Oversee department efficiency when the Director is unavailable, manage inventory, and coordinate training for new colleagues in specialty areas. Adhere to strict quality control policies, review results for accuracy, and assist with proficiency assignments and regulatory checklists. This day shift role includes rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field
- American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification
