Job Summary
Design and implement rigorous unit and engaging lesson plans incorporating the Warren Easton Instructional Model while meeting Louisiana Components of Effective Teaching standards. Utilize student data to drive instruction, re-teaching, and classroom interventions, and proactively manage student behavioral issues in a structured, achievement-oriented environment. Participate in professional development sessions, Tuning Protocols, and department study groups to build capacity, and consult with administrators, colleagues, students, and parents on a regular basis. Plan and supervise tasks for paraprofessionals and volunteers if assigned, and adhere to all school rules regarding dress code, punctuality, and lesson plan submission. Achieve objectives in the professional Growth Plan developed jointly with the Assistant Principal.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Holds and/or Eligible for Licensure by the Louisiana Department of Education
- Experience in the specified content area
