Job Summary
Auxiliary Chemistry Consultant at Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. supports chemistry consulting services focused on auxiliary and balance‐of‐plant chemistry systems across both PWR and BWR facilities. The role covers raw water systems, circulating and cooling water, radwaste processing, plant support systems, and chemistry optimization/troubleshooting. Responsibilities include utility assessments of auxiliary chemistry, troubleshooting balance‐of‐plant systems, providing chemistry guidance during outages and plant events, developing recommendations for chemical treatment and reliability improvements, supporting EPRI/SIA research, writing/reviewing technical reports, and participating in client engagement and growth initiatives. Travel to client sites and business development activities are required (approximately 25%). Desired qualifications include >10 years of nuclear experience, prior qualifications as chemistry technician/staff chemist/engineer, corrosion monitoring experience, and familiarity with industry guidance (EPRI, INPO, NRC). Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemistry, or other related science or engineering field
- 5–10 years of experience in the Nuclear Industry supporting chemistry and/or engineering efforts related to auxiliary or balance-of-plant systems
- Working knowledge of PWR and/or BWR chemistry programs
- Experience supporting plant chemistry programs involving raw water, cooling water, radwaste systems, or similar support systems
- Ability to travel to support clients and business development efforts (~25%)
- Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to obtain Nuclear Unescorted Access Authorization (UAA) as required
