Job Summary
You will provide technical and analytical support to the Sales and wider operations teams, on-site calibration of analytical equipment, troubleshoot production issues, and run treatability trials to verify suitability. The role includes liaising with external customers regarding hazardous substances and chemical non-compliance incidents. Requires a degree in Chemistry, Earth Science or Environmental Science, with proven experience in sampling and categorising hazardous, trade and solid waste, and knowledge of international testing procedures and laboratory practice. Strong analytical abilities, clear communication to internal and external stakeholders, and a commitment to safety are essential. The role offers a challenging, varied environment with opportunities for development and career progression, based in Seaview, Lower Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand, operating full-time on a permanent basis.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry, Earth Science or Environmental Science
- Proven experience in sampling, categorising hazardous waste, trade waste and solid waste
- Knowledge of international testing procedures and industry-standard laboratory practice
