Job Summary
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, perform chemical analyses for manufacturing, technical services, or customers; implement approved plans; participate in projects to improve processes; coordinate results; communicate findings through reports; maintain complete and accurate records and data; perform related duties and special projects as assigned. Requires a four-year chemistry or related science degree and 2–4 years of analytical, environmental, or process chemistry experience plus working knowledge of chemical analysis, laboratory instruments, software, and documentation; ability to operate in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment with strong problem solving, project management, and communication skills. The role is based in Tanner, AL, with on-site laboratory responsibilities under full-time employment and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year college degree in Chemistry or related science field
- 2 – 4 years of analytical, environmental or process chemistry experience
- Working knowledge of chemical analysis, standards, methods and practices
- Working knowledge of laboratory instruments and equipment
- Working knowledge of various software applications including spreadsheet, word processing, graphics and analytical programs
- Ability to operate a computer workstation and the related hardware and software
- Ability to operate analytical instruments and equipment
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions
- Ability to work with moderate supervision, and to work in a production-oriented environment
