Job Summary
Chemist I is an entry-level role focused on preparing and analyzing environmental samples per published analytical methods, SOPs, and EPA protocols. Responsibilities include sample preparation, operating basic laboratory equipment, executing quality control procedures, and documenting results with the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The role works under supervision to ensure analyses comply with lab protocols, safety standards, and client requirements. Key capabilities include attention to detail, fundamental chemistry techniques, organized data management and reporting in LIMS, instrument operation and maintenance, sample inventory and hygiene, and contributing to a cooperative team environment. Strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are emphasized, along with adherence to regulatory standards and a commitment to high-quality data. Required Qualifications
