Job Summary
Manufacture and characterize products using synthetic organic chemistry per SOPs; perform organic syntheses, monitor reactions with HPLC/TLC, and purify via chromatography and recrystallization; analyze purified products by HPLC/TLC and interpret NMR/MS spectra to identify synthesized compounds; dispense solutions, operate lyophilizers and vialing equipment, and participate in inventory control with production documentation and batch records; maintain laboratory cleanliness and assist with year-end and cycle counting; requires a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in chemistry with internship experience desirable; familiarity with HPLC, NMR, MS, chromatography, JDEdwards/ERP, and cGMP/ISO standards; strong communication and analytical skills; standard industrial lab environment with physical demands including lifting up to 25 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field; or an Associate’s degree with equivalent applicable work experience
- Internship experience in relative field is highly desirable
- Prior manufacturing experience is a plus
- Knowledge of JDEdwards or other ERP systems is preferred
- Knowledge of cGMP and/or ISO certification is preferred
