Job Summary
Chemist role at a Hazardous Waste facility focusing on overseeing receipt, storage, processing and disposal of hazardous waste in line with regulatory Health, Safety and Environmental standards. Responsibilities include planning daily operations, leading health and safety initiatives, secure waste management to meet customer and company requirements, maintaining regulatory compliance and driving cost efficiency, analytical work with samples to advise treatment options and quotations, stock/inventory management, enforcing company policies, and coordinating with Transport to ensure SLA fulfilment. Requires experience in hazardous waste management, HNC Chemistry qualification, understanding of process safety, data analysis skills, and willingness to travel within the UK.
