Job Summary
Develop experimental procedures for new product development and performance testing while generating reliable data and leading independent projects. Provide innovative technical solutions by consulting with internal teams, field service personnel, and gathering customer input to drive innovation in the Protective and Marine Coatings business. Ensure compliance with PPG policies, EH&S, and governmental regulations while maintaining the existing portfolio and contributing to global technology segments. Requires an M.D. degree and 4-6 years of experience; travel up to 25%.
Required Qualifications
- MS in Chemistry or Polymer Science
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of epoxy, vinyl ester, polyurethane, polyurea, and polyaspartics formulating principles
- Ability to search and interpret literature
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be able to travel up to 25%
- Must be willing to accept paid relocation (possible for ideal candidate)
