Job Summary

Safely operate chemical processing equipment using computerized control systems and Standard Operating Procedures. Accurately prepare, load, transfer, and process raw materials while monitoring process conditions to ensure products meet quality and safety requirements. Perform in-process testing using specialized instrumentation and maintain complete production records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices. Identify process abnormalities, communicate concerns promptly, and participate in investigations and corrective actions. Properly use Personal Protective Equipment, maintain clean work areas using 5S principles, and operate forklifts after certification. Work collaboratively with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to accurately follow detailed written instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong mathematical skills including weights, measurements, ratios, percentages, and unit conversions
  • Ability to accurately complete production records, batch documentation, and electronic data entry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze information and troubleshoot manufacturing processes
  • Comfortable using computerized manufacturing systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with team members
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle production materials and equipment
  • Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays as required

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • Previous experience in chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, food processing, industrial manufacturing, or another regulated production environment
  • Experience operating automated manufacturing equipment
  • Experience using distributed control systems (DCS), PLC-controlled equipment, or computerized process control systems
  • Forklift certification or previous forklift experience
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or 5S principles
  • Experience working in GMP, ISO, or similarly regulated manufacturing environments
