Job Summary
Night-shift Chemical Shuttle Driver responsible for safely transporting chemical products between Savannah and designated terminals (Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA) using a dry van with drop-and-hook, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining driver logs per DOT regulations, and ensuring equipment is clean and safe. Operates approximately 4:00 PM start with 10–11 hour shifts, follows all safety procedures, and adheres to hazardous material handling requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements is required
- 2+ years of professional driving experience is required
- Previous tanker, chemical, petroleum, or hazardous material transportation experience is preferred
- Ability to work night shift schedules and extended hours as business demands require
- Basic computer skills inclusive of understanding and utilizing electronic logs, employee time reporting, and utilization of e-mail are required
