Job Summary
Conduct Risk Engineering Surveys for Refineries, Petrochemical sites and Batch Chemical Sites; Account engineering for multinational clients; Implement loss prevention measures with development of effective operational risk management procedures at client level; Establish a Risk Engineering Practice in line with HRC Standards; Implement HRC Risk Engineering tools; Desktop reviews of external risk reports; Provide reports in a timely manner in agreement with underwriters; Attend client presentations; Develop close relationships with clients and underwriters; Keep up-to-date with the latest technical developments in major industries and provide technical updates to underwriters
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a risk engineer in the insurance industry (or equivalent industry experience)
- Strong technical expertise in process safety management, operations, process engineering
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Professional membership of engineering associations would be advantageous
- Knowledge of NFPA Codes and API Standards
- Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willing to travel 20-30%
