Job Summary
The Chemical Process Technician role on the 3rd shift involves monitoring and controlling chemical baths, reaction cells, and pumping systems in the tube manufacturing operation. Responsibilities include transport and maintenance of hazardous chemicals, equipment repair, preventive maintenance, and interaction with other manufacturing groups. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years' manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong mechanical aptitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills are also required, along with a commitment to Atkore's core values.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years’ minimum experience in a manufacturing environment
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of tools and mechanical systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and/or with little supervision in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company
- Knowledge of basic chemistry and/or chemical handling
- Exposure to Lean Principles or Six Sigma
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
