Job Summary
The Chemical Process Engineering Manager will lead process engineering initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, throughput, and operational reliability, serving as the site technical expert for Ion Exchange chemistry and related processes. Responsibilities include overseeing process scale-up, capital projects, and maintenance oversight through the Engineering Supervisor/Plant Engineer; driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement; collaborating with Operations, Quality, and R&D; and ensuring alignment of maintenance, reliability, and equipment upgrades with business needs. Requires a strong background in chemical engineering with expertise in ion exchange, resin processing, and manufacturing optimization, plus leadership in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (required)
- Minimum 8–12 years of engineering experience in chemical manufacturing, water treatment, or related industrial environment
- Minimum 5 years in engineering leadership or plant engineering management role
- Strong experience with Ion Exchange systems, water treatment processes, resin manufacturing, or chemical processing strongly preferred
- Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement experience required
- Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as needed
