Job Summary

Conduct routine work permitting, perform area lab analytical analysis, and troubleshoot equipment or systems as required. Execute lockout/tagout procedures, maintain detailed logs for shift activities, and assist I&E technicians when needed. Communicate with production teams before and after job completion, identify recurring equipment problems, and request engineering or vendor assistance as necessary. Perform housekeeping duties, clean up after jobs, and familiarize yourself with product, steam, and airflow throughout the area. Follow SOPs, PM task instruction sets, and all safety rules while working in both warm and cold temperatures.

Required Qualifications

Ability to obey all safety rules and identify and correct potential safety problems
Ability to work both in a team environment and individually as required
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
Proficient computer skills, Microsoft office tools and excel
Ability to clearly communicate this information to team members
Strong mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of basic processing equipment (pumps, control valves, tanks, heat exchangers (plate and frame / shell and tube), centrifuges, ion exchange, activated carbon beds, filtration equipment, evaporators, crystallizers, dryers, classification systems, packaging systems and process analytical devices (pressure, pH, temperature, conductivity, etc.)
Ability to lift and carry up to 55 lbs at times
Ability to climb stairs and ladders
Ability to work in warm and cold temperatures
Ability to perform Lock out Tag out and work permitting for all work being completed in area
Ability to identify and implement solutions to recurring equipment problems
Ability to troubleshoot lab equipment as issues present themselves
Ability to troubleshoot equipment/systems as required
