Job Summary
Production Operator II responsibilities include monitoring, adjusting, and recording process conditions to ensure safe and quality operations per site procedures; performing tasks such as filter changes, log sheet recording, material transfers, and packing product; handling drums, totes, and hoses for transfers; stacking 55-lb bags onto pallets; maintaining safety through Zero Harm/SIM programs and completing Safety Training (Confined Space, Hot Work, Line Break, Lockout/Tagout); wearing PPE (chemical suits, gloves, boots, FR clothing, respirators); flexible shift schedule (2-2-3, 12-hour shifts); and working outdoors with appropriate PPE and adherence to site SOPs; operates within a chemical manufacturing environment and collaborates with Shift Supervisor, Lead Operator, and Production Manager to ensure proper documentation and response to any abnormal conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Two years of experience in a chemical manufacturing plant or similar environment
- Ability to safely drive a forklift
- Physical ability to lift 55-lb bags and perform tasks
- Ability to read batch sheets and other documents
- Willingness to learn basic chemistry and math
- Able to work 12-hour shifts on days or nights
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions
