Job Summary
Process raw materials into finished polymeric materials using industrial equipment, including pressure reactors, vacuum systems, and the distributed control system (DCS). Perform in-process and finished quality testing using analytical lab equipment and operate distillation equipment for solvent recycling. Load raw materials into process tanks, fill products into drums or tanks, and transfer hazardous bulk materials to storage or outbound trucks. Troubleshoot process abnormalities using DCS software and field sensors, creating work orders for equipment repairs. Perform periodic preventive maintenance on heat exchangers and cooling coils, while completing production records, inventory transactions, and training personnel. Work the 3rd shift from 11:00pm to 7:30pm, including overtime and weekends, adhering to safety standards and company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Technician certification or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years chemical manufacturing experience
- Fork Truck Certification
- HAZMAT training (Hazwoper, etc.)
- Must be willing to work overtime
- Must be available for weekend hours
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
