Job Summary
Chemical Operator I responsible for manufacturing chemical intermediates and finished products by following batch records and work instructions, operating chemical processes, performing equipment setup, waste handling, and documentation, with extensive safety training and 12-hour rotating shifts including overtime and night differential. The role requires PPE use, compliance with safety and environmental regulations, ability to transfer materials, label hazardous waste, maintain clean production areas, assist with shipping/receiving, and support the Production Supervisor with shift reports and inventory records. Prior experience in manufacturing or related industries is preferred; training is provided after hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass a basic math and reading assessment
- Post-offer medical evaluation
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts
- Forklift certification (training provided after hire)
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or oil & gas preferred
