Job Summary
Conduct chemical manufacturing operations by weighing, mixing ingredients, and monitoring equipment pressure and temperature per Standard Operating Procedures. Operate plant equipment, mobile machinery including forklifts and trackmobiles, and manage tank truck loading/unloading. Record production data, ingredients, and weights into the database while maintaining plant inventory and performing daily housekeeping. Troubleshoot production issues and ensure safety compliance in a 100-degree ambient environment with rotating 12-hour shifts. Handle chemicals safely using appropriate protective gear while adhering to OSHA guidelines and confined space protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience working in chemical manufacturing or manufacturing/production
- Aptitude for mechanics
- Willingness to comply with safety and quality regulations, including wearing protective gear when necessary
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more
- Must be able to work scheduled 12-hour days with intermittent 14 – 16 hour days for emergency operations/repairs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with forklifts preferred
