Job Summary
Operate chemical production equipment on 2nd and 3rd shifts, including setting up, adjusting, and running equipment; observe and test products; add ingredients per procedures and batch records; perform visual inspections; manage inventory transactions; perform calculations using various units; maintain 6S and safety practices; document verifications; participate in training and change-control processes; collaborate with leads and supervisors to meet quality and throughput goals; contribute to development of new products, processes, and equipment; handle waste procedures as required.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- entry level position defined as having been in the Chemical Operations department for less than 2 years and trained in less than 2 manufacturing areas within the department
- ability to perform measurements and calculations using various units of measure
- follows safety regulations including grounding, bonding, nitrogen inerting, PPE usage, proper use of exhaust vents
- familiarity with 6S workplace organization and quality systems
- ability to operate and set up production equipment
- ability to perform visual inspections and testing
- ability to document verifications accurately
