Job Summary

Review daily mix schedules and ensure raw materials are available before mixing chemical batches by following standard operating procedures. Accurately add raw materials using pumps or mixing systems, perform routine observations to ensure batch quality, and report out-of-spec items to Quality personnel. Operate fork trucks, palletizers, and other material handling equipment to transport materials, while performing building and equipment preventative maintenance. Properly clean out all mix tanks and complete other duties as assigned. Work Monday through Friday in rotating shifts at a Vancouver, WA plant, with no immigration sponsorship available.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift or equipment operating experience (heavy equipment, pulling trailers, etc.)
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs repeatedly, including lifting overhead
  • Must be able to push/pull mobile pump and filter carts (up to 500 lbs) 10–20 times daily
  • Must be able to lift hoses and fittings (up to 50 lbs) above shoulder height 10–40 times daily
  • Must be able to carry hoses (5'–20', up to 50 lbs) 10–20 times daily
  • Must be able to squat, bend, and climb (both ladders and steps) frequently
  • Must be able to climb side ladders on tank trailers 10–20 times daily
  • Must be able to frequently operate sit down forklift
  • Must be able to wear rubber boots for entire shift
  • Must be able to lift and dump 50 lb bags at waist height at least once per week
  • Must be able to climb railcar ladders with fall arrest equipment 5–10 times per week
  • Must be able to climb in/out of yard truck, connect/disconnect trailers, set wheel chocks 10–20 times per week
  • Must be able to open wastewater press and slide plates 20–50 times per week
  • Must be able to wear full slicker suit 1–2 hours, 5–10 times per week
  • Must be able to wear full-face respirator 1–2 hours, 2–10 times per week
  • Must be available for Monday – Friday, rotating shifts of 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Must be able to work in Vancouver, WA

Desired Qualifications

  • 1 year of chemical handling experience
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry
  • Previous experience working in a chemical or manufacturing environment
  • 1 year of previous experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to read and match numbers on shipping records, labels, raw materials and finished goods
  • Ability to use basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
