Job Summary
Review daily mix schedules and confirm raw material availability to ensure smooth production flow. Accurately add materials to mixing systems using manual methods, pumps, or automated equipment while monitoring product quality and identifying out-of-spec batches. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move goods, perform thorough cleaning of mix tanks, and conduct routine preventative maintenance on production systems. Maintain accurate production records and logs, partner with the Quality team to resolve discrepancies, and contribute to continuous improvement goals. This 1st shift role in Huntington, IN, supports Ecolab's mission to protect public health and the environment through safe chemical processing.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 1+ years of previous experience with industrial (large batch) mixing experience, mixing multiple tanks at once
- 1+ years of previous experience in chemical mixing
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds chest high
- 1st shift, Monday - Friday 5:45 AM - 2:00 PM
- all-shift weekend OT as required based on business need
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working safely and efficiently in a chemical or manufacturing environment
- Ability to understand systems, pumps, read meters, basic Quality Control data and to track mixing and quality information (mix logs, batch adjustments, etc.)
- Ability to perform basic Quality Control tests (perform pH testing, take samples)
- Excellent attention to detail; must be able to simultaneously mix several tanks and accurately complete related documents
- Experience operating a Forklift
- Basic knowledge of chemistry and chemical handling
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience working effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
