Job Summary
Hands-on role focused on designing, testing, and scaling materials and coated products for sealing, brake, and NVH applications. Responsibilities include formulation improvements, lab testing, material characterization (ASTM/ISO methods; DSC, TGA, FTIR), leading lab-to-production scaling, on-line troubleshooting on coating lines, supporting production trials, ensuring compliance with environmental and chemical regulations (REACH, RoHS, IMDS), and delivering clear technical documentation. Requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, strong analytical reporting, and a willingness to travel up to 25%. Location: Dearborn, MI on site.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
- 1+ year of laboratory experience (coatings, rubber, compounding, or similar materials preferred)
