Job Summary
Chemical Machine Operator at C&D Technologies / Trojan Battery Company in Santa Fe Springs, CA. Responsibilities include loading raw materials into machines, forklift movement of lead and dross barrels, labeling and transporting waste, collecting data for SPC reports and CTQ measurements, completing oxide production reports, performing inventory on oxide hogs, reactor cleanup in confined spaces, and inspecting equipment for issues. Must adhere to safety, hygiene, and ISO procedures, be able to lift 50 lbs, and hold forklift certification. Basic English proficiency required to interpret safety instructions and documents. Familiarity with 5S, incident response, and emergency procedures is expected, along with strong data collection and reporting practices in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 6 months – 1 year of experience in production, construction, warehouse, or similar work environment
- Forklift certification
- Understand Oxide Production
- Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions
- Understand/comply with correct lifting procedures which enable lifting to 50 lbs
- Comply with Hazard communication procedures
- Understand Blood Lead health and Hygiene Protocols
- Follow and maintain Lead activities (5S, housekeeping, hygiene, etc.)
- Comply with Safety and Hygiene rules on site
