Job Summary
Conduct chemical additions, new bath make-ups, and maintenance for tanks and conveyor equipment per Chemical Laboratory requests. Manage hazardous chemical handling by strictly adhering to safety rules, regulations, and internal policies while communicating tank issues and downtime to supervisors. Utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment when working around hot equipment, molten solder, and controlled environments with specific temperature and humidity requirements. Lift up to 25 pounds and move chemical drums using appropriate equipment while maintaining product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as gloves, protective glasses, face shields, aprons, rubber boots, etc.
- Must not be allergic to common forms of rubber and plastic use of PPE
- Ability to work within the confines of a room where concentrations of chemicals are located
- Ability to work around very hot equipment and molten solder
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds maximum
- Able to stand/walk throughout the day
- Ability to move drums of chemicals using the proper equipment
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain the quality of products at all time
- Good computer skills
- Ability to learn new skills and tasks as required
- Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be trained on chemical analysis
- Basic understanding of the metric system for weights and measurements
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills preferred
