Chemical Engineer II

Job Summary
Assist in the design and project management of new products, components, and acceptance equipment under technical guidance. Develop test procedures, perform engineering evaluation tests, and conduct quality audits and data reviews. Prepare evaluation reports, analyze discrepancies, and recommend improvements to manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and quality. Define and acquire necessary tooling and gauging equipment to assure product quality. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to resolve design, development, and production issues. Provide peer mentorship and support where applicable. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Physics, two years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Energy security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program or Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from an accredited program
- Two or more years of relevant experience in engineering, analytical, or related technical activities
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
- Regular and reliable attendance as it is an essential function of this job
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated analytical skills, mathematical computations, computer software applications, and written documentation
- Demonstrated established technical methodologies to routine engineering projects
