Job Summary
Develop and implement chemical category strategies aligned with business objectives, managing the full lifecycle including supplier segmentation and risk mitigation. Lead complex sourcing initiatives such as RFx, negotiate commercial agreements, and drive supplier innovation while monitoring market trends to identify value creation opportunities. Analyze spending and market intelligence to develop dashboards that track performance against targets, ensuring accurate data integrity for financial reporting. Act as the primary escalation point for supply issues to ensure timely resolution and minimal operational disruption, supporting sites in local negotiations and supply continuity planning. Partner with cross-functional teams to influence stakeholders and drive adoption of preferred sourcing strategies while maintaining compliance with policies and managing contingency plans.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business or a related field
- 8–12 years of experience in direct procurement or category management
- Experience in chemical categories such as actives, surfactants, alcohols, and extracts
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in pharmaceutical, personal care, home care, beauty industry, or chemical manufacturing environment
- Experience in co-manufacturing and decentralized organizations
