Job Summary
Manufactures resin and formaldehyde and/or related surfaces according to established procedures and HSE regulations. Unloads and loads raw materials and finished products via tanker trailers, railcars, box trucks, and bulk trucks while operating a forklift to move drums, totes, and bags. Collaborates with management to meet production and shipping schedules, ensuring required shipping documents are completed and procedures comply with all regulations. Visually monitors processes within the area of accountability and immediately informs the Lead Operator of any deviations or abnormalities. Responds to process alarms and interlocks promptly to coordinate corrective actions and performs In-Process Checks using laboratory equipment to verify batch progression and quality. Rotating shifts (days/nights/evenings) required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma Required or GED
- Must be ok with rotating shifts
- Must be ok with following strict Health and Safety Guidelines and wear required PPE
- Ability to sit, stand walk and climb frequently working in elevated areas
- Will lift an average of 50 lbs frequently
- Basic computer skills required
- Basic math skills required including the use of a calculator
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift experience a plus but must be able to become certified
- Previous chemical/ processing experience a plus
- DCS Distributed Control Systems experience a plus
