Job Summary
Lead the Maintenance Department by providing strategic leadership, establishing departmental goals and KPIs, and developing a high-performing team through mentorship and succession planning. Oversee the operation, repair, and long-term preservation of physical assets, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems, while managing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs. Direct capital improvement projects from planning through closeout, administer the operating and capital budgets, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Manage after-hours emergency operations and coordinate with residents, the Board of Directors, contractors, and consultants to deliver resident service and protect Association assets.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum seven (7) years of progressively responsible building engineering or facilities management experience
- Minimum five (5) years of supervisory or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications
- EPA Universal Certification
- OSHA training
- Additional industry certifications related to facilities management, building operations, or maintenance systems
- Technical Degree / Associate degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or related technical field
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Experience in a high-rise residential, commercial, healthcare, hospitality, or institutional environment
- Strong knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, asset management, budgeting, construction administration, and contract management
