Job Summary
We are hiring for Bubba Gump Shrimp Co in Sandgate, Australia, to join the opening kitchen team as a Chef de Partie or Commis Chef. You will manage and support a designated kitchen section during prep and service, assist with daily kitchen operations, ensure consistency and quality of dishes, maintain high food-safety and hygiene standards, assist with menu updates, monitor stock levels, and collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver fast, high-volume service while contributing to a positive, team-focused kitchen culture.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial Cookery Certificate III or IV qualification
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Full working rights in Australia
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Ability to work effectively under pressure during peak service periods
- Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and operational standards
