Job Summary
Lead independent food service operations at Yale New Haven Health’s Yale Psychiatric Hospital satellite location in New Haven, CT. Oversee patient tray service, serving line operations, and daily food production; ensure food quality, presentation, and compliance with dietary requirements; supervise approximately 10 union employees; manage staffing, scheduling, performance management, and employee engagement; maintain HACCP, sanitation, and regulatory standards; monitor inventory and food costs; act as primary on-site operational contact for client leadership and healthcare partners; support patient satisfaction and continuous improvement through strong leadership and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
- Minimum Management Experience - 1 year
- Experience supervising and developing frontline teams
- Experience working in a unionized environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, healthcare dietary operations
- CDM or Diet Technician certification preferred, but not required
