Job Summary
Plan, organize and direct the work of cooks and other team members engaged in the procurement, storage, preparation and serving of food; assist in preparing the food service budget; direct ordering, receiving and accounting of food products, supplies and equipment; evaluate methods for efficiency; interview, select, manage and develop hourly staff; oversee food safety to ensure regulatory compliance; participate in developing and enforcing policies for the school-based food service program; position located at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School in Canton, OH, with Monday–Friday schedule and no weekends/holidays; salary and benefits emphasize competitive compensation and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- A formal culinary degree is preferred
- 3 or more years of food service chef/management experience
- Prior experience leading, motivating and developing teams
- Proven ability in meeting and maintaining budget goals
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
