Job Summary
Train and manage kitchen personnel while supervising all culinary activities, including estimating food consumption and purchasing supplies. Develop and standardize recipes to ensure consistent quality, establish presentation techniques, and plan menus within budget requirements. Oversee special catering events, maintain equipment, and enforce safety and sanitation protocols. This role reports to the Executive Chef at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL, where you will help deliver exceptional food experiences and support team growth.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a related position
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
- Experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems
- Oral, reading and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Culinary degree preferred
