Job Summary
Prepare hot and cold food items across multiple dining venues in a senior living community, following recipes, portion standards, plating expectations, sanitation requirements, and food service timelines. Plate foods according to standards, set up hot and cold lines for meal service, and contribute to a positive dining experience for residents, families, guests, and staff. Maintain a clean, organized work area with strict infection control and sanitation practices; assist with deli tray deliveries; complete required training and sanitation courses; and support various dining venues while delivering high-quality meals with attention to detail, safety, and hospitality. Ideal candidates will have two+ years in hotel/restaurant line cooking in a fast-paced environment, strong adherence to recipes and production lists, and a customer-focused, team-oriented mindset.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least two years of hotel or restaurant line cooking experience preferred
- Experience preparing hot and cold food items in a high-volume or service-focused kitchen preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes, production lists, and plating standards
- Commitment to sanitation, infection control, and food safety practices
- Ability to work quickly and accurately while maintaining quality
- Positive, team-focused attitude
- Flexibility and professionalism when working with residents, families, guests, and team members
- Comfort using technology and resources efficiently and effectively
