Job Summary
Lead the QA team by acting as the department's quality conscience, identifying edge cases and exception scenarios before they become incidents. Collaborate with engineering squads to strengthen a shared culture of quality, design and evolve tailored QA processes, and implement tools like automated testing frameworks and observability solutions. Grow automated test coverage by prioritizing high-risk areas, coordinate exploratory testing on critical features, and track key metrics such as defect rates and deployment stability. Mentor team members, build the practice to welcome new talent, and partner with delivery leadership to embed quality practices into squad cadence and contribute to incident post-mortems. Communicate quality trends regularly to engineering and product leaders.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance
- hands-on experience in test automation
- Relevant university degree
- Solid understanding of modern testing strategies
- Solid understanding of continuous integration practices
- Solid understanding of quality challenges specific to high-traffic e-commerce platforms
- Strong analytical skills
- Proven formal or informal leadership experience
- collaborative ability to influence and build trust with developers
- Data-driven decision-making approach
- effective proficiency in using AI tools to accelerate daily QA activities
- Bilingual (French and English), both written and spoken
- Basic proficiency in French
- proficiency in English
