Job Summary
Chef Director to lead all dining and catering operations for an independent school in North Philadelphia. Responsibilities include managing all account activities to ensure smooth operations and reflecting the MG brand, leading financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to meet operating and financial goals, developing and coaching staff, overseeing meal production and menu development with fresh, local, scratch cooking, delivering high-end catering for campus events and off-campus events, maintaining client relationships, HACCP standards, and making personnel decisions including recruitment and performance management.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or 5+ years of experience in Contract Food Service Operation, High-End Catering Management, and Campus Dining experience
- ANSI Food Protection Manager
- Alcohol and Allergen Certified
- Demonstrated proficiency with email, internet, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and HR systems
- Competence in applied mathematics for unit conversion and financial calculations
- Knowledge of culinary equipment operation and cleaning practices
- Economic and accounting principles and practices, including data analysis and budgeting
