Job Summary
Chef de rang at the St. Regis Rome, temporary contract. Deliver a warm, personalized service experience to international guests by serving food and beverages, answering menu questions, and coordinating with the kitchen on menu questions, wait times, recooks, and product availability. Maintain cleanliness and presentation of chinaware, glassware, silverware, and tables; communicate dietary needs and special requests to the kitchen; monitor cycle times for meals and ensure staff collaboration to optimize service. Follow all safety, health, and security policies; uphold brand identity and SOPs; protect proprietary information and company assets. Welcome guests according to standards, anticipate needs, assist guests with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Requirements include excellent English and Italian, strong guest-engagement and leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and availability for late nights, weekends, and bank holidays; Marriott international career opportunities and equal-opportunity employment are emphasized.
