Job Summary
Chef de Partie within the SUSHISAMBA culinary team at W Edinburgh, primarily based in the SUSHISAMBA kitchen while supporting across other kitchen areas as needed. Responsibilities include coaching junior team members, managing purchase orders, staying current with products/techniques, preparing hazardous foods to HACCP-compliant temperatures, maintaining hygiene and PPE standards, ensuring FIFO and proper labeling/cleaning of storage areas, monitoring food quality and portions, communicating needs during busy periods, operating ovens/stoves/grills/microwaves/fryers, verifying appliance and food temperatures with thermostats and thermometers, monitoring freezer systems, reporting maintenance issues, and maintaining knowledge of company Food Safety Programs and local regulations. Ideal candidate is eager to learn, creative, well-organized, possesses strong communication and teamwork skills, and has a genuine passion for hospitality.
