Job Summary
Prepare and cook food in the assigned kitchen section (grill, pasta, meat & fish, or pastry) in line with established recipes and quality standards. Manage the section, overseeing any commis chefs or kitchen assistants, ensure cleanliness and proper equipment maintenance, collaborate with kitchen staff and management to deliver timely service, adhere to food safety and allergens policies, maintain accurate records of inventory, preparation, and waste for the section, and treat colleagues with respect while staying calm under pressure.
Required Qualifications
- 2 year’s experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail, highly organised and capable of handling multiple tasks
- A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgement and minimal direction
