Job Summary
Chef de Partie at Home Block Restaurant within CedarCreek Estate Winery, Kelowna (on-site). Run and be responsible for a station in a fast-paced kitchen, contribute to an exceptional culinary experience, manage daily mise en place and service to standards, work with a changing seasonal menu using local ingredients, mentor junior staff, and adapt to daily service with confidence. Role involves learning and applying grillwork techniques on a wood-burning grill, collaborating with a team to develop skills, and supporting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to uphold high culinary standards in a winery restaurant environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5-6 years’ experience in a similar standard of kitchen
- Current “Food Safe” certification (or equivalent)
- Solid cooking techniques
- Ingredient and seasonality knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive work ethic and professional attitude
- Be a self-starter, have high standards of your own and be a team player
- A real desire to work in a fast-paced kitchen that makes everything from scratch
- Quick learner, able to comprehend, incorporate & impart knowledge effectively
