Job Summary
Chef de Partie needed in Hakuba, Japan for seasonal, full-time December 2026 to March 2027. Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, assembling dishes to recipe specifications, executing grilling, sautéing, and frying techniques, ensuring timely service during peak hours, following order details and dietary restrictions, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and effective communication with the kitchen team. Requirements: previous experience as a Chef de Partie/line chef, legal right to work in Japan (Working Holiday Visa typical), excellent interpersonal skills, willingness to work flexible hours including evenings/mornings/weekends/holidays, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy objects, strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset, English fluency (Japanese a bonus), Japanese driving license or International Driving Permit preferred, and ability to commit until March 31, 2027. Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie/ line chef
- Legal right to live and work in Japan (typically via a Working Holiday Visa)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, evenings, mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to handle a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects
- Strong work ethic and a team first mentality
- English fluency; Japanese a bonus
- Japanese driving license or International Driving Permit preferred
- Ability to commit until March 31, 2027
