Job Summary
Responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the Continental Kitchen section assigned, ensuring adherence to Novotel Lucknow standards in food preparation, presentation, cleanliness, and kitchen operations; maintain hygiene, sanitation, and food safety in line with HACCP and company guidelines; support Sous Chef and Executive Chef in all kitchen operations and menu execution; ensure all Continental dishes are prepared to established recipes and quality standards; monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency to meet guest satisfaction and brand standards; manage storage, handling, and usage of food to minimize waste and control costs; maintain cleanliness and organization of the section, equipment, and work areas; maintain kitchen records, temperature logs, and operational checklists; train and supervise Commis Chefs and Demi Chef de Parties for skill development and efficiency; report issues affecting food quality, guest satisfaction, safety, or hotel interests; collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred
- Experience in Continental cuisine is mandatory
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen best practices
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in a reputed hotel, resort, or upscale restaurant
