Job Summary
Oversee mise en place production, monitor product storage and rotation, and assist in organizing prepared items for various events. Train new team members on pastry techniques, develop core competencies, and guide daily prep and technique needs. Work independently in the kitchen across pantry and banquet positions as business demands shift, assisting the chef on specialty dinners with minimal supervision. Develop new seasonal items, track inventory usage, and relay orders appropriately. Maintain strict compliance with state sanitation regulations, equipment safety protocols, and resort policies while mentoring staff on proper tool usage.
Required Qualifications
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, high volume work environment and have meticulous attention to detail
- Must have 1+ years of pastry experience
- Must have a general understanding of all areas of savory kitchen (saute, pantry, grill etc.)
- Must maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely, and teaches this knowledge to new team members
- Must maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental/resort policies and procedures, other information pertinent to the job performance
