The Chef de Cuisine enforces safety and sanitation standards, maintains cleanliness, and creates schedules for staff coverage. Essential skills include advanced culinary techniques, a comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations, and effective leadership in a high-pressure environment. Proficiency in computer use, particularly in recipe costing, and strong math skills are necessary. The position requires the ability to work various shifts and respond to the dynamic needs of the kitchen.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Certification from a culinary institute or similar
  • Seven years’ experience in a high volume restaurant including banquet and catering services
  • Five years’ supervisory experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Casino experience preferred
  • Additional education or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements

Additional Requirements

  • All applicants must obtain a Class III A license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission
  • Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions
