Job Summary
Lead a team of 3 to 5 agents while directing the loading and unloading of luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft. Operate specialized motorized equipment and vehicles, and safely move cargo between aircraft, terminals, and air cargo facilities. Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance instructions, hazardous material labels, loading manifests, and routing tags. Brief the crew on bag loads and flight procedures before departures, and manage all gate and flight crew administrative paperwork. Ensure safe push-back operations and maintain clear communication with the flight crew. Perform heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling in variable weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally able to work in Canada
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Ability to pass DA training
- Ability to hold and maintain all required airport security clearance
- Reliability
- Capability to lift comfortably 70 lbs
- Availability and flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- Comfort working in all weather conditions
